Valley's retired Lt. Gen. Sanchez eyes run for U.S. Senate seat

Retired Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez - a Rio Grande Valley native who presided over coalition forces at the onset of the war in Iraq and later came to criticize the Bush administration's policy in the Middle East - said Monday that he is considering a Democratic bid for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Republican Kay Bailey Hutchison.
